Stephen H. Armstrong
Mr. Armstrong concentrates in the areas of environmental solutions, environmental litigation, finance and securities, and toxic torts. He represents clients in all areas of environmental law including regulatory and enforcement matters, corporate and real estate transactions, cost recovery activities, compliance counseling and site remediation. He focuses his practice in particular on regulatory and transactional issues associated with contaminated properties.
He also counsels extensively on financial reporting and disclosure obligations related to environmental matters. Prior to joining Ungaretti & Harris, he served as lead environmental counsel for a large diversified energy corporation with a substantial portfolio of former manufactured gas plant sites. His responsibilities included managing insurance and cost recovery litigation, and providing advice with respect to site remedial activities under federal and state cleanup programs.
